Through the Dark
A submission to Kenney 2025 Game Jam with the theme -- Power!
## Introduction ##
The evil wizard, Dortho, has struck down the only source of light in the Cube World: the Prism of Light.
Without it, the world lost its power! Darkness has swallowed the world whole!
Without the Prism, no life can grow, no cube can be born.
Our hero, the player, stumbles upon a fragment of the Prism. Now he carries the sacred task: to restore the Prism of Light.
However, endless monsters and dangerous obstacles lurk behind the veil of eternal Darkness.
Use the fragment of the Prism to navigate the precarious journey to restore the Prism.
## Controls ##
All controls are presented in-game for the best possible experience.

## Theme Interpretation ##
My friends initially thought of a project with something to do with electricity. Power's out and all of that.
But my brain was all about: That sounds fun, not let add a fairy companion and save the world!
And bam, Through the Dark, is born. It's a platform showing a journey of a hero saving a world from the Lost of Power and the Journey to regain Power.
Honestly, if I have had more time, i'd love to make a beginning cutscene to tell the story. But too bad, one day of coding and time ran out.
And the end cutscene for every levels, too.

## Further Developement ##
Unfortunately, due to the time constraints of the jam, only one and a half levels have been implemented.
To help my motivation in continuing this game after the jam (I have a lot of concentration issues ;-;), I have the list below:
-
200 Views or 20 Comments – The rest of level 2 and animation for a level end
-
500 Views or 200 Plays (in-browser + downloaded) – Level 3 (with a new mechanic: Light Sensor)
## Final Words ##
Have fun everyone!
